Job Description
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for learning how to hire, train, monitor, and administer the job duties of QA hourly personnel. This includes learning and understanding of the Quality Assurance programs specifications, labeling, HACCP, and regulatory requirements. The position requires that basic management skills be learned in communication, problem resolution, plant processing, and cross training in other departments in the facility.
Other duties include special projects assigned by the FSQA manager, computer applications, record management and verification, and statistical process control. This position is responsible for food safety, food quality, and legality.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Broad knowledge in general professional or technical field normally acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in an academic field directly related and essential to the job science agriculture based.
Experience: No experience in field required. Past work experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills especially in MS Office. Additional skills will be obtained on the company system located at the training facility.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Travel: 3 plus trips per six month period.
Special Skills: Must be willing to relocate. Original location will begin at a training facility followed by an assignment as a FSQA Supervisor at a facility opening.
