The Opportunity
Delaware North Gaming is hiring an HR Director to join our human resources team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. In this role, you will support the Delaware North Gaming subsidiary. As HR Director, you are responsible to drive strategies that attract, develop, and retain talent while optimizing the employee experience. In addition, the Director manages a team of Human Resource professionals on site, providing input on talent management, talent acquisition, employee relations, and employee engagement.
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Salary: $91700 – $123900 / year

Responsibilities
+ Develop an in-depth knowledge of our gaming business at Southland Gaming, and the associate requirements to develop and deliver integrated and inclusive HR services and programs.
+ Lead HR team in strategies to attract, hire and retain talent. Provide direction for onboarding, compliance, and employee relations.
+ Develop and deliver training for new and existing HR associates to make certain they have a thorough understanding of their job functions, policies, procedures, and opportunities for growth.
+ Serve as coach and adviser to people managers and business leaders.
+ Champion associate engagement through effective communication, culture, associate value proposition, and diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
+ Handle all escalations of employee relations matters and complaints, including conducting investigations and determining resolutions in alignment with organizational values, policies, guidelines, and governance standards. Partner with labor relations on union matters where necessary.
+ Develop and deploy HR and human capital strategies, policies, programs, and services that scale and enable current business needs and prepare the business for the future.
+ Assure governance is in place for implementation of and compliance with regulatory, legislative, enterprise, and business requirements, and policies.
Qualifications
+ High school degree or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or similar is strongly preferred.
+ Minimum seven (7) years’ in an HR Generalist role or similar.
+ Minimum five (5) years’ of HR management experience with a large employee population.
+ Previous gaming experience is strongly preferred.
+ A detail-oriented mindset to handle the changing nature of our organization and the workforce.
+ Strong collaboration, interpersonal, relationship management, communication, influence, and coaching skills.
+ Experience with PeopleSoft, Workday, or similar HRIS, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ May require flexibility to work evenings or weekends as business demands.
+ Must be eligible to obtain state gaming and racing license.
