We are seeking a dependable machinist to program, setup, and operate machining equipment. Parker Hannifin offers competitive pay with this position starting at $25.63/hour and has the opportunity to earn up to $27.74/hour. Essential Functions:
+ Set-up and operate machining equipment to perform milling, drilling, threading, sawing and boring operations on materials. Programs CNC machining equipment.
+ Perform daily tasks to produce parts, including but not limited to, loading/unloading equipment, gathering materials/components, positioning work area and setting parameters.
+ Utilize various hand tools, specialty tools, and measuring equipment to complete assigned tasks.
+ Perform inspection of parts utilizing gauges / measuring devices and reviews blueprints/diagrams to ensure components are being manufactured in accordance with the part specification.
+ Complete various types of paperwork related to production reporting.
+ Perform the required duties in accordance safety guidelines and lean principles.
+ Clean equipment and work area.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or G.E.D
+ 5+ years of previous machining experience preferred
+ Basic computer skills required
+ Basic math skills required
+ Basic understanding of gauging / measuring devices required
+ Basic blueprint understanding required
+ Understanding of G-Code programming preferred
+ Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear and speak. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit and use hands to grasp and handle. Employee will occasionally be required to kneel, squat and bend at the waist. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs. Specific vision requirements include close vision, ability to focus, and depth perception. This position may be exposed to oils, dirt, fumes and moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
