The position is responsible for performing outreach activities and engaging stakeholders in programmatic development opportunities and training in areas including but not limited to food safety, agricultural economic development, governance, operational consultation and advice, and federal, public and private resources. Special emphasis on consultation, support, compliance, and capacity development regarding Tribal agribusiness enterprises, Tribal food and agricultural systems, and direct/indirect services related to food, agriculture and natural resources will be a key component of job responsibilities. The Tribal Enterprise Specialist's work will also focus on developing strategies and solutions to empower Tribal governments and Native food producers in food safety, food safety curriculum, regulatory compliance, and food systems development.
