Description

Certified Nursing Assistant


A Nursing Assistant helps patients with activities of daily living and other health care needs under the direction of a RN or LPN.


Students develop health care competencies in safety, infection control, vital signs and working with geriatric residents in a long-term care facility.  Students receive 77 hours of classroom training with includes lecture and hands on skills training and 16 hours clinical experience in a long-term care facility. 


Arkansas College of Health Careers is an approved testing facility for students to take the State's Certification Exam.  This allows students to test for the Knowledge and Skills Exam where they have trained.  Students will test the week following the completion of the program increasing their passing potential.
