Description
The EMT-Paramedic AAS program is designed to provide students with the knowledge of extensive pre-hospital care and skills necessary to apply that knowledge effectively. This program is primarily aimed at providing education to EMTs desiring to move to the next level of certification. Through classroom and laboratory exercise, and clinical practicum, the student is introduced to patient assessment, administration of drugs both orally and intravenously, interpretation of electrocardiograms (EKGs), performing endotracheal intubations, and use of monitors and other complex medical equipment.
