Description

The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant class is twelve-week course.  The completion of this course requires 144 clock hours of instruction& lab and 40 hours of externship. 


Upon completion of this course each student will be prepared & eligible to take a National Exam through the National Healthcareers Association to receive their credentials.  


The students will learn to perform administrative & clinical tasks for employment in physician & other practitioner offices. The classroom instruction will include taking vital signs, weight, administering injections & vaccines, performing EKG, phlebotomy and laboratory procedures.  Additionally, students will be trained in documenting & updating information in electronic medical records (EHR), filling out insurance forms and DME forms as well as coding & billing.  


Completing this program will allow a student to work in a in demand occupation.
