Description
The AAS in Funeral Science is a two-year degree that offer the theoretical and practical application of funeral service education. Students are prepared for entry into the workforce after graduation. The aims of this program are to enlarge the background and knowledge of students about the funeral service profession; educate students in every phase of funeral service; help students develop the proficiency and skills necessary of the profession; educate students concerning the responsibilities of the funeral service profession to the community at large; emphasize higher standards of ethical conduct; provide a curriculum at the post-secondary level of instruction; and to encourage research in the field of funeral service.
