This program covers cognitive, psychomotor and affective instruction, including an overview of EMS systems, well-being of the EMT, airway assessment and management, CPR, introduction to human anatomy and physiology, dealing with trauma, splinting, use of spine motion restriction devices, bandaging, emergency care of patients experiencing a medical emergency, and other approved equipment, techniques, and procedures.
