Description
The agriculture program provides students with educational experience in practical, theoretical, and technical applications of agriculture and promotes environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Courses include lecture and lab components, providing students with hands-on applications of classroom skills and knowledge. The certificate of proficiency in agriculture is designed to equip students with knowledge of the increasingly important area of agriculture, prepare students for employment, or give a foundation for continuing their education toward a Technical Certificate in Precision Agriculture or Associate of Science in Agriculture. An education in agriculture prepares students with a general knowledge of potential food sources, life cycles, and care of various animals, and technology in the field.
