Instructional Program (CIP)
Description
In the program, learners will focus on safe and effective operation of both medium-sized tracked Hydraulic Excavators and Dozers, while applying correct operational techniques recommended by industry experts. Training exercises for the Excavator include travel control, truck loading, backfilling, loading the machine on a low-boy trailer and more. Cat® Simulators Track Type Tractor/Dozer teaches learners the fundamentals of operation, including maneuvering, blade steering, backfilling, ripping, dozing over a highwall and more. Training with OEM controls ensures the learner transitions seamlessly to the field knowing the same operations as taught in class. Blended learning comes from a mix of hands-on and classroom training on the Dozer. Learners will practice in the virtual environment and should repeat exercises until mastered. Corresponding materials are presented along with each exercise, including a selection of quizzes. Throughout the material, learners can build on knowledge and skills from previous lessons and exercises.
